Design, plan, implement, and evaluate campus-based programming for LGBT students and campus constituents that furthers their personal development and assists them in creating successful lives. Plan, implement, coordinate, market and evaluate relevant programming and services for LGBT students such as conferences, workshops, and collaborative programs with other departments or community organizations, recognition ceremonies such as Lavender Graduate Recognition Ceremony and student development mechanisms such as mentoring and leadership programs; Develop and submit program budgets to campus and community funding agencies, or seek campus or community cosponsors to maximize resources. Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate LGBT student staff, potential LGBT graduate interns in programming efforts, service delivery, office staffing and other areas as services and programs expand, supervise the design of promotional material, press releases, and other publications, oversee and maintain LGBT Office website, develop and expand web resources, Perform outreach duties as requested by campus and community organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree in Student Personnel, Counseling or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. (Some applications of this classification may require a professional degree in lieu of the Master's indicated above) as well as one year of experience in designated area(s) of Student Personnel or Program Development/Administration.
